You Capture-Black & White

This week’s assignment for You Capture is Black & White.

Black & White pictures are my favorite.

I don’t know why, they just are. Maybe it’s because with Black & White photos, you aren’t focusing on the colors in the picture, but the picture itself. Either way, I love them.

Here are my shots for the week-

This is my niece Serenity enjoying her 1st Birthday cake. Isn’t she adorable?

This is a shot I got of my sister and my niece while taking pictures for Serenity’s 1st Birthday. LOVE IT!
And of course, my two cutie pies playing on the couch earlier today.

The Hubster’s Surprise B’day Party

Last night my in-laws and I, along with help from my mom, threw my hubby a Surprise Party for his 30th Birthday. Man, he’s old. (Just kidding! No offense to all you 30+ people out there!)

It was a great party with great people for an even greater man. No one deserves to be happy more than my husband. He is AH-MAZING!

Here are a few pictures from the party. The highlight for him of course, was the gift.

Summer Vacation Pt. 2

Our second day there, we always go to the Sound side of Pensacola Beach so that the kids can swim and we can get a different angle on the Blue Angels show.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day:

Mark and I waiting for our table at Peg Leg Pete’s.

Reagan chillin’ on the boat watching the Angels fly. Mark and Reagan enjoying the water. There was no oil to be seen and no smell at all. Zach enjoying the waterZach trying to catch fishies.Reagan trying to catch fishies. My handsome little man.
They fly with a mere 18 in. between the planes. INSANE!

Up next, a few random pictures from the rest of our vacation……….

Summer Vacation Pt. 1

Every year, Mark, the kids, and I take a trip to Pensacola Beach to stay with a friend and see the Blue Angels show.

This year, was no different. It was our 6th year and it never gets old. There’s nothing better than seeing the Blue Angels fly over the beach. I still get chills when they play “Highway to the Danger Zone” while they are flying over.

Here are a few pictures from our first day:

My honey and I

Fat Albert flying by. Such a massive plane yet it can do some amazing things.

The kids playing on the beachOne of my favorite maneuversThe next two pictures are of the kids enjoying our ride to the beach. So much easier getting there without having to deal with all the traffic.

Up next, our second day on the beach………Stay tuned!

Happy 1st Birthday Serenity!!!

One year ago today, my sister gave birth to her first child.

It was a happy yet scary time as she was born two months early. My sister had eclampsia, which causes seizures, and the only way to stop them from happening was to deliver the baby.

She weighed 2lb. 9 oz. ( I think, I’m too lazy to go back and look ) and after a little over a month and a half in the hospital, was able to come home.

She is now EXTREMELY healthy and I can promise you that NO ONE can tell she was a preemie.

Happy Birthday Sweet Serenity!  Aunt Trista loves you!!!

Happy 4th of July

Can I just say that I am LOVING my new camera. It’s been forever since I got GOOD pictures made of the kids and now I don’t need to hire a photographer, I can take them myself.

Personally, I think I’ve done a great job considering I just got the camera 3 days ago and I haven’t even read the manual yet.
