Somewhere amongst all of the craziness of the past few weeks, I forgot to mention that during Zach’s last basketball game, my sweet boy MADE A SHOT!!!!
He had made a foul shot during the second game. But due to the fact that he had a mini Michael Jordan on his team, he didn’t get the ball much.
He had been trying so hard all season long, and about 4 minutes into the last game, he finally made one. After that, he got 4 more shots and almost made 2 of them.
And you know what?
I cried when he made that shot. Why? I don’t know. I think it’s just that it’s times like that that slap you in the face and make you realize that your babies are growing up. That it’s no longer about walking, talking, riding their bike without training wheels anymore….now it’s about them starting Kindergarten, playing their first organized sports, making their first baskets. And before long, before I even have a chance to blink, it will be about their first dates, first cars, first day of college.
And you know what?
I’m not ready for that yet!!!

Awwwwww I was like that with Isa's 1st ballet class… you don't even want to know how I lost it at her 1st recital!
